Walking in a garden

- First performance: The choir of All Saints’ church, Stamford on the 19 July 2024.
- Notes: This little piece is an arrangement (drawing inspiration from the hymn setting by ‘A.H.’ in the New English Hymnal) of a traditional Irish Melody known as Dun Aluinn (although Dun Aluinn seems to be in Scotland?). This arrangement was composed for the Feast of Mary Magdalene in July 2024, and is mostly in unison, with some limited harmony, to suit the forces available that week.
The text of this piece (by Hilary Greenwood) would also make it highly suitable for use at Easter.
